Haha short story: last week I tried to upgrade my watercooling. While doing so, the CPU got ripped off when removing the block—either from the removal itself or from my rushed reinstall. Some pins were bent and it didn’t work. I ordered a 5900X because the 3900X wasn’t covered by warranty and buying one now didn’t make sense. In the meantime, I realigned the pins and it worked again. Eventually, I kept the 5900X and sold the 3900X for €300. Since there won’t be any 5900X3D, upgrading to AM5 will cost around €200. Not too bad for €200.
