Could someone help me understand why my PC is lagging so much in Fortnite and other games? If you’d like to take a look, I can share my system specs: CPU – an AMD Athlon X4 860k, Motherboard – ASUS A58M-K, RAM – 1x8GB at 1600MHz from Kingston, GPU – an XFX RX 570 with 8GB of VRAM (it’s about a year old), Hard Drive – Toshiba DT01ACA100 1TB, Power Supply Unit – LC Power 6550 with a wattage of 550W (also about a year old), and my case is a Cooler Master K280. I’m running Windows 10 Pro as well.

My computer was running Fortnite smoothly at a consistent 80 frames per second, but now it’s suddenly lagging. I wonder if my older CPU—it's been running for six years now—or perhaps just the 8 gigabytes of RAM might be to blame.
