I built with an RTX 3080, 12GB AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, 12 cores/24 threads, ASUS ROG STRIX B550-F gaming graphics card, 32GB RAM from Kingston, and 8GB of 850W power supply rated for 80+ Gold. The setup mostly works well except for Fortnite at low settings—fps drops to around 165 and it stutters a lot. It feels sluggish compared to other games. No clear solution yet, but I’m not sure what to try next.

First, verify your RAM is operating at its rated profile, often called an XMP profile—a BIOS adjustment that’s easy to modify. Next, ensure your graphics drivers are current. Also, confirm your "AMD drivers" are up to date; AMD provides driver packages containing chipset and security updates for their CPUs. Then, enable Direct X12 for Fortnite and disable ray tracing. With these settings saved in my signature, I achieve 120 FPS at high settings.
