Fortnite game files failing to load.
I’m experiencing an issue with asset and data loading while playing Fortnite online. My wired and wireless connections are functioning correctly, consistently achieving over 100 Mbps in speed tests. The game's ping is also acceptable at 22ms. My hardware – consisting of 12GB of RAM, an i5-4460 processor, and a GTX Super StormX OC 1650 graphics card – performs well; I can smoothly run benchmark software like Heaven with high settings and a high frame rate. Fortnite was operating effectively until a power interruption. Now, when playing online, certain building elements fail to load properly and take an excessively long time to appear. I’m seeing a maximum download and upload speed of only 8 KB/s in the game's corner, despite maintaining a ping of 22ms (which is notably low). Creative mode functions without issues. What might be causing this slowdown? Downloading files from external websites is incredibly fast, but content downloaded through the Epic Games Launcher is significantly slower, reaching a maximum speed of only 13 MB/s.
I previously attempted to remove Fortnite and the Epic Launcher and reinstall them. Turning off my antivirus program also had no effect. I possess an additional storage device; I’ll attempt a fresh Windows installation upon it, possibly beginning with a clean slate.
