Fortnite experiences lagging on the RX570 graphics card.
In this video we see frequent stuttering, even in games. PC specifications: i5-9400f RX570 (gigabyte rev2.0) 8GB 2666MHz Corsair 550W PSU ASRock B365M motherboard. Driver version: 23.2.2 - AMD Software Adrenalin Edition. From the beginning of assembling this machine, stuttering occurred in Fortnite. I updated drivers, used ddu, reinstalled them, reinstalled Windows, tried numerous online fixes, lowered GPU voltage, reinstalled Fortnite, adjusted graphics settings. None resolved the issue. In other titles like Crisis 3 and GTA 5 there was no stutter at all. I’ve exhausted my options so I shared my own experience on the AMD community forum. Thank you for your help and suggestions.
In short: You're using a basic 6-core i5, which isn't ideal for modern gaming. Fortnite's update to UE5 really strains systems with fewer than six cores. Even with 8GB RAM, it uses up a lot, making performance poor. You're missing out on better hardware for the tasks you expect.
It can still be useful, though you'll likely experience stutters during tough battles in Fortnite. The original six-core CPU wasn't ideal for gaming. It was decent for a few years, but developers eventually added the 7-threads capability required by most game consoles. With eight threads becoming the norm, performance improved significantly.
