Forbidden in Fortnite? *Need assistance.*
Hey there, I just got back from school and tried to log into Fortnite. To my shock, it told me my account was disabled. I was really surprised since I didn’t do anything wrong! *PC PLAYER* I’ve been looking into fixing this for a few days but still have no idea. I reached out here asking for help from the tech team. I also created another account, but whenever I jump on the bus it gets flagged as cheating, VPN use, or internet lag. I’m not banned by IP, and my phone works perfectly with the same new account that runs on my computer. If anyone has any advice, I’d really appreciate it. I’m confused and a bit disappointed Fortnite isn’t taking these issues seriously. -Joey
Reach out to Epic Games to find out the reason for the ban. Check if you were using a VPN—such as an open-source option like Psiphon or a paid service like PIA—or a regular connection. If not, share your download and upload speeds. Assess whether your internet performance was adequate. Consider if playing with another person’s Xbox using the same account could have triggered the issue.
I completely understand, though I wasn't trying to cheat. That's what's puzzling me.
It's common to get banned for using overlays or poor internet connections. What counts as cheating varies, but the best way to resolve issues is by reaching out directly to Epic Support through their official channels. Send an email and wait for a response within a week.
I’ve reached out to Epic Games several times, but I keep receiving the same automated response. My connection isn’t using a VPN, and I’m currently at around 80 up to 17 down. I’ve tried reaching out directly, yet the replies remain unchanged no matter what I type.
I and my friends use computers, and I usually play on their accounts when I’m connected to them. Please let me know if you don’t think that’s fair—it might be on your end. I’m working to resolve this issue. I understand what you’re saying, and I’m just trying to fix it. I’ve read about other cases where VPNs or overlays led to bans, especially with Epic Games’ systems.
