I have an i5 4670k and I'm checking the safe voltage. My setup includes: ASUS Z87-K, GeForce GTX 1080 8gb Asus, i5 4670k at 3.6GHz stock OC'd to 4.3GHz. What is the safe range?

I think I'll upgrade by Christmas, is that okay?
Totally fine.
If you start smelling burnt electronics, just tone it down a bit.

I previously owned an i5 4690k with the same chip, running at 4.8GHz and 1.4v for roughly two years. Eventually, the motherboards' VRMs became too worn to supply sufficient power. To extend its life, it's recommended to keep the voltage below 1.35v.
