A few manage it smoothly, while others need to configure their PCIe settings to 3.0 in BIOS. It looks like LinkUp is the main supplier for PCIe 4.0 riser cables, though I'm not certain about their official certification. Rtx works with PCIe 3.0 but struggles with 4.0. Navi sometimes operates at PCIe 4.0, and it’s not very stable there. There’s no Navi20 available right now. My memory suggests connecting a 3.0 device to the PCIe network should keep things at 3.0, though I’m not sure if that’s accurate.

Thanks for the feedback. I understand the PCIe bus remains at 4.0 even when using a card directly in the slot, which keeps the speed at 3.0 regardless. The NVMe performance stays at 4.0 as well. I have experience with an RTX 2080 Ti and a Gen 4 NVMe M.2, and the data confirms PCIe Gen 4 compliance. Some users report issues with risers, so adjusting the PCIe speed in BIOS might help avoid problems. Let me know if you need more details.

The riser concept is logical since 4.0 proves more challenging than 3.0. A 4.0 riser would be required, and without it being produced, none can be made.
