For those facing d3d Init crashes in GTA V
I experienced several problems on my i5 4460/750ti after upgrading to the OC version. Used Nvidia Inspector to adjust settings to match the stock configuration, and it resolved the issue permanently when all parameters were set high. This method is now widely recommended by others as a reliable fix for most users. If you have any overclocking done—whether factory or custom—consider using overclocking software to bring clocks down to the standard specs for your model (check AMD or Nvidia sites for exact values). Make sure to adjust base clock, boost clock, and memory settings as well. I thought it would be helpful for those still facing D3D init errors.
You handled it yourself to prevent the game from crashing, and the update this morning resolved the problem for me—my settings are now at 970 without any crashes.
Are you sure? I'll increase the level and check for stability.
I'm working with stock clocks on my Strix 980. The drivers are set to 350.12 WHQL. Now I need to downclock the card from stock clocks? Better to rma if it's not stable, then try stock in GTA V. Sometimes it plays for a short time (like an hour) and crashes, other times it runs smoothly for hours. This issue is intermittent—I can't find any reason with my limite sew333 16 godz. temu. The 780ti keeps crashing in GTA even after the update. It wasn’t an unstable OCR issue before; now the voltage is higher and it works across all other games. After a few hours, it still freezes, especially at 1440p with the default clock speeds. It’s a bit disappointing since the card performs okay at lower settings.
I experienced my first crash since the patch, this time in online mode. (Single player works fine for me, though) I'm not sure why this matters, but I'm back to losing my card again. The only other game with this problem I've tried is from Codemasters Racing... whenever I push it a bit or overclock it, it keeps crashing.
It keeps crashing in Factory OC for me. I'm okay with lowering the clock speed. All configurations are set to high, but the full 2GB VRAM still maintains a steady 60 frames, though there are occasional drops to 40fps at 1080p. I'm happy with that.
