This represents a significant leap in design without needing a new motherboard. For most tasks, using 16 or 32 GB of RAM with a stronger processor will yield better value. Running out of RAM is ultimately a futile goal because you'll eventually need to replace it when upgrading to a newer platform. I ended up with a used 16 GB module that functioned well—having tested it beforehand, I went with 4x8 GB and still managed to run it alongside my Ryzen 7 5800X on the same board.
