Consensus reached. For gaming purposes only, neither the 3600 nor the 3700X offers a significant improvement over your existing setup. Zen 3 could justify the investment. Regardless, this is the least favorable moment to purchase a new AMD CPU. You'll likely see better value with Zen 3 or cheaper options once its impact lowers current prices.
