I’m sharing these threads for a reason—either because it’s for you or because friends might be interested. If it’s for someone else, let me know what their needs are. For a friend, it’s best to check if they’re serious about overclocking or just looking for a bit more performance.
Regarding the build, the 7700 + 6900xt + 32GB RAM setup can push CPU overclocks beyond 5700X, reaching 5.4-5.5 on the 7700 itself. For cooling, if you’re over $50, go with the FT120—it’s a solid choice. Otherwise, the Rams model is already fast enough out of the box.
As for the monitor, I don’t have a preference since I’m not into gear. I’d pick a used 1440p display at 144/165Hz if possible, as they’re affordable and easy to find locally for around $200–250.
I provided a PCPP for an AM5 motherboard at the same cost as the more expensive AM4 model. Consider switching to AM5 even if it means upgrading to a 7600 or getting a used power supply and case instead of staying stuck with the older AM4 setup.
