the new i5 is expected to outperform the current i7 at a lower cost. prices should stay within a few dollars, around 10-20 on the CPU and about the same as before (+- 150$) in memory capacity. For your situation, even with an optimized custom loop, it would likely be very noisy and probably limited by heat issues. However, the larger Shift X can be paired with 280 + 120 radiators; you can still use AiOs, but a custom loop would be more efficient as it allows sharing radiators and using superior parts. Under load, a custom loop will be noticeable but not overly bothersome. And creating a custom loop isn't difficult—leaks are rare over time. I haven't experienced any leaks from a loop after 15-20 minutes of testing, even after more than ten years.
