It’s really sufficient with 16GB, especially with DDR4 memory. I own 32GB of Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB RAM and have never seen my system exceed 12GB even during intense gaming at 1440p with background tasks running. If I had the chance, I’d have chosen 16GB instead.
It doesn’t affect performance at all. I own 32GB of RAM (Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB) and it runs just as well as with 16GB. The only difference is how efficiently you use the memory, which doesn’t change in gaming or heavy workloads.
