It’s really sufficient with 16GB, especially with DDR4 memory. I own 32GB of Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB RAM and have never seen my system exceed 12GB even during intense gaming at 1440p with background tasks running. If I had the chance, I’d have chosen 16GB instead.

It doesn’t affect performance at all. I own 32GB of RAM (Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB) and it runs just as well as with 16GB. The only difference is how efficiently you use the memory, which doesn’t change in gaming or heavy workloads.

Everyone else mentioned 16GB, but I've never had my gaming rig go above 11 or 12GB while playing. I actually use 32GB since I run it as a DAW, render large audio files, and keep tons of programs open at once. For games, 16GB works just fine.

16gb storage using two modules. Opt for quicker RAM. Done here. 'Heavy gaming' means background processes won’t run open browsers. Four modules might cause issues with advertised speeds.
