Some games don’t use Vcache, so performance can vary. A system with six cores at 5.6 GHz might run better than the 7900X3D in certain situations. The 7800X3D seems slower under normal conditions. Running eight cores at 5.0 GHz versus six at 5.6 GHz offers more L3 cache, which can impact speed.

Thanks everyone, I believe the 7900x3D looks good for mixed use and feels solid for tinkering. I plan to run it in eco mode to boost efficiency.
