I've been using a Rift S for several years with a GTX 1060. In November, I upgraded to an RTX 3060 but the device now crashes after 10 to 30 minutes of use. The display turns black, audio stops, the headset light changes red, and the Oculus app shows a connection error. I also hear a USB disconnect sound like a mouse is pulling out. I contacted Oculus support without success. I’ve unplugged most USB devices except the keyboard, switched ports on the GPU, used different USB ports, updated and rolled back drivers, tried a powered hub, but nothing works. Eventually, they sent a replacement headset. Today it still fails. The only change since it worked was a new GPU and mouse; the GPU runs fine otherwise. I attached the latest OculusLogGatherer log. Windows 10 64-Bit AMD Ryzen 3600X with two 8GB DDR4 3200 CL16 GPUs, RTX 3060 Ventus 2X 12GB ASRock B550, Phantom Gaming 4/AC 550W power supply. AutoAnalysis_20230122_132135.log

Have you attempted a restart in Safe Mode with DDU for removing GPU drivers prior to reinstalling them?

That mouse is a specific model, and you attempted to swap out the cables for your VR headset.

The mouse is a Razer Viper Mini. The cables were swapped out together with the headset. I haven’t used DDU; I’ll test it and share what I find.

The power supply could lose efficiency over time, making your 3060 have more power output than the older 1060. If this happens, I’d recommend swapping it for a better one.

Performed additional testing and ran DDU for a fresh GPU driver install. Plugged in monitor before using headset and managed to run smoothly for several hours yesterday. Tested with monitor still connected, but crashed after 30 minutes. Disconnected monitor post-crash but continued to fail intermittently. MSI Afterburner displays GPU at ~55°C and CPU at ~65°C. No spare power supply available at the moment.
