Following fifteen minutes of playing Grand Theft Auto 5, the game began to exhibit stuttering and minor lagging issues.
Greetings. Following fifteen minutes of playing Grand Theft Auto V, the game begins to exhibit stuttering and minor performance issues. Six months prior, I was able to play with higher graphics configurations without encountering any lag. Currently, even on the lowest settings, the frame rate drops approximately every two seconds. I’ve attempted numerous troubleshooting steps suggested online, but none have resolved the problem. My computer specifications are as follows:
Processor: Intel® Core i7-6700HQ CPU @ 2.60GHz
Graphics Card: Intel® HD Graphics 530
Secondary Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M
Memory: 8.0 GB
Operating System: Windows 10
Regarding your experience with various online resources – could you detail what you’ve explored to avoid redundant investigations?
What temperatures—CPU and GPU—are you observing during demanding tasks?
Have you ensured that all device drivers are the latest versions?
I adjusted NVIDIA graphics options, restored virtual memory, modified window configurations, created custom power profiles, and prioritized tasks in Task Manager with high urgency. Furthermore, all drivers have been updated, and temperatures remain within the range of 50-60 degrees.
