The Computer and Accessories Under Review: Redux PC (Pre-build) - Detailed specs available here. Operating system: Windows 11 (Latest). Headphones in use: Sony WI-XB400 Bluetooth model. The Problem: My Sony Bluetooth headphones occasionally stutter or cut out audio during extended sessions (30 minutes to an hour). Sometimes the sound drops briefly and then restarts. In the most severe instances, audio cuts completely for about 10 seconds. The connection remains stable, and the headphones are fully charged. The issue seems tied to Bluetooth functionality but I’m unsure of the exact cause. What I’ve Attempted: I used Windows Troubleshooter for Bluetooth, which detected a problem and suggested checking the radio status. It also recommended updating drivers, but everything appears up to date. I removed the headphones from Bluetooth, reset the connection, and re-paired them, yet the problem persists. Now I’m reviewing the driver list—six entries appear, two match my headphones, while others are unfamiliar. The top two match are known, but the remaining ones look like unrelated or competing Bluetooth processes. I’m trying to figure out if they’re all separate signals vying for the same channel or if something else is interfering.
The headphones have worked with various gadgets before, and I haven’t faced this problem before. The computer has also been having stuttering moments (the mouse would freeze or pause briefly). The only other connected devices are my wired keyboard and my USB-connected mouse. It’s unclear if those might be contributing to the issue.
