FLTMGR.SYS
FLTMGR.SYS
Discussing this in a broader context, it seems like a bit of troubleshooting with some help needed on choosing the right replacement part. On January 1st this year, my PC stopped booting due to an error code in the title. It won’t even enter safe mode. With limited knowledge and advice from a store representative, I’m trying to figure out if the problem lies with the hard drive or something else. My guess is the hard drive failed, so replacing it should fix things. Regarding options, I’m considering two SSDs—one for the operating system and another for main storage. This might not be directly relevant anymore since I’m less active on the site now. The build details are: MSI Z370 gaming board, Intel i7 8700K CPU, Corsair 1000D PSU, and EVGA Supernova 1000 G+ power supply.
This seems like an overcomplicated issue. Which computer are you using? Do you have a PCIe NVMe SSD or a standard 2.5” SATA SSD? Are you certain the SSD is truly faulty, rather than just software errors? You might simply reinstall Windows on your current drive, but reformatting would erase everything you already have. Consider getting a reliable brand new replacement and starting fresh.
