You're looking for free encryption tools for Windows 10 that can handle encrypting external drives, the internal boot drive, and work with Windows PowerShell 5.1. Let me know if you'd like more options.

Employing BitLocker is sufficient. Since you're running Windows 10 Pro, it's already installed.

Veracrypt should handle it. Encrypting the system partition should remain invisible to applications, including PowerShell.
