You're experiencing frequent system freezes during flash content playback on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. The issue seems to stem from unstable hardware acceleration settings and inconsistent crash patterns. After reviewing system logs post-crash, it appears the problems are sporadic—sometimes daily, other times monthly. Your GPU configuration (980Ti with NVIDIA driver) and Chrome version 59.0.3071.115 are in play. The fact that you've tried multiple OS revisions and drivers without success suggests a deeper compatibility or driver conflict issue. It might help to verify the GPU driver version matches your hardware, and consider testing in a clean environment or with a different graphics profile.

I don't rely on Flash Player. It's problematic and prone to security issues. Many websites no longer need it. Are you experiencing problems with a particular site?

You're relying on a digital TV service provided by your ISP. The website they offer isn't current, which can affect your experience.
