Back a couple days ago my R7 3700X was idling at 55°C, rising to 60°C and staying around that on Chrome. It had a 4.4GHz OC and 360mm AI. I noticed temperatures were too high, so I took these actions: First, I set the peak core voltage to 1.325V in Ryzen Master, which slightly reduced cooling. Then I looked up and disabled Precision Boost Overdrive (PBO), which helped a bit. After adjusting that, Chrome temps dropped to about 38°C on the same OC. CinemaCore would likely run at 65°C max. -There are many more tweaks possible, these were the simplest.

Your Cinebench results are as follows, and you're running the R15 model.

You could have bypassed all those stages if you're using a static OC. Also, it's unclear when it becomes too hot—based on what I see, your temperatures were normal before.

Only tested cinebench r20 thus far; will try other options later.

My idle and Chrome temperatures were normal. However, in certain games my CPU would reach 90°C with a 360mm AIO. That’s not what I expected—it shouldn’t exceed 75°C.

It appears the main concern is a contact problem rather than airflow issues. The stock cooler seems to perform better in this regard.

The stock cooler usually gets too hot for Fortnite at 97°C. That’s why I got the air cooler, now I’m mainly playing GTA V, but I tried it in Fortnite at 90°C and it worked fine. After adjusting, it stays steady around 75°C.

It seems the setup involved a case for airflow monitoring, but neither of those temperatures is expected. How was this tracked?

Hwinfo and msi afterburner settings. My airflow isn't great because I'm using just one exhaust and three intake fans directing air through the radiator to the case.

Use hwinfo64 to retrieve temperatures.
