A colleague of mine enjoys playing Minecraft Java, but his frame rate is consistently quite poor. I’m unsure of the cause and am seeking assistance from this forum in the hope that someone can suggest a solution. He typically experiences between 30 and 45 frames per second. He has VSync disabled and frame rate set to unlimited.

Here are his system specifications:
* Windows 10 operating system
* Ryzen 5 1600 processor
* RTX 2060 graphics card
* 16 GB of RAM
* Playing Minecraft version 1.15.2, utilizing Optifine and a faithful texture pack.

If you require any further information, I’m happy to provide it. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Initially, Minecraft heavily relies on processing power, so a 2080 isn’t likely to significantly improve frame rates. This is primarily due to him using a weaker processor with a powerful graphics card, resulting in limited performance.

I’m utilizing a Ryzen 5 3600 and, within the 1.15.2 version with a 32x32 faithful texture pack and OptiFine settings optimized for maximum frames per second, I achieve between 150 and 300 fps.

The adjustments that most substantially affect Minecraft’s frame rate include animations, rendering distance when connected to large servers with numerous visual effects, and particles.

Pay particular attention to video settings > Quality > Anti-aliasing and mipmap type – these are often major contributors to reduced performance.

What is the manufacturer and specific version of your computer's main circuit board, power supply unit, and random access memory?

Do you happen to be using ray tracing when you’re executing it?

Initially, Minecraft is heavily reliant on processing power, therefore a 2080 graphics card will likely not significantly improve frame rates. This is the principal cause behind his relatively low performance (despite other potential problems), as he’s combining a modest central processing unit with a powerful graphics card, anticipating exceptional results.

I utilize the Ryzen 5 3600 and achieve frame rates between 150 and 300 in the version 1.15.2 with a 32x32 faithful pack and OptiFine settings optimized for maximum performance.

The elements that most substantially impact frame rates in Minecraft include animations, the rendering distance when connected to a large server with abundant visual effects, and particles.

Specifically, examining the video settings > Quality > Anti-aliasing and mipmap type would be beneficial. These are known to have a substantial negative effect on performance.
