Greetings!

I’m experiencing an unusual issue with my 1.12.2 Minecraft installation. I utilize multiple modifications, possibly encountering a distinct glitch. Rotating my mouse produces fluid motion without any difficulty; however, when I attempt to walk, it appears as though I’m moving in a jerky, step-by-step manner. I don't believe this is related to my frame rate—it appears to be a specific problem with walking.

My system specifications are as follows:
i7-6700k Processor
AMD RX290 GPU (3GB VRAM)
24 GB of RAM, 20 allocated to Minecraft

If anyone could provide some guidance, I would be grateful.

Despite lacking a precise solution, I've observed that excessive memory usage is a core problem when running Minecraft Java Edition with modifications. Insufficient RAM can also lead to problems, yet an abundance of memory—particularly when numerous mods are installed—often results in the same difficulties. Twenty gigabytes is generally considered far beyond what’s needed.

Although I lack a precise resolution, I’ve observed that excessive memory usage represents a core problem within Java-based Minecraft. Insufficient RAM can also lead to problems, but an abundance of memory—particularly when combined with mods—can produce similar difficulties. Twenty gigabytes is typically far beyond what’s needed.
