Fixing low FPS in Minecraft with shaders while using only 30% GPU usage. Need advice!
You're experiencing low performance in Minecraft due to shader complexity and potential hardware limitations. The issue seems tied to GPU load, as your usage was only moderate. Checking CPU stats shows minimal strain, but spikes on the 11th core suggest possible bottlenecks. Consider optimizing shaders, lowering resolution, or switching to simpler materials. If you need further help, feel free to ask! Thanks for sharing your setup and details.
AFAIK MC relies on OpenGL, which utilizes your CPU. It doesn’t appear it was designed for DirectX. Earlier runs on my PC showed performance around 70 FPS using either CPU or OpenGL. There seems to be no direct option to switch to DirectX or GPU, or I might be mistaken about this.
The CPU lacks built-in graphics capabilities, making 3D rendering unfeasible.
I'm not referring to integrated graphics cards, but to your specific dedicated GPU. Edited April 14, 2020 by AleksiDj73 Clarification needed
They told me jokes about me, but they made a video playing Crysis just on the CPU. Even with a 64-core processor!
Certainly! Here is a revised version of your message:
Apologies, I thought I misread your response earlier. You clarified it, and I've adjusted accordingly.
You don’t have to use a GPU to create 3D visuals. A CPU can handle it, though it’s usually not very efficient.
Correct, I missed including that in my response. We use GPUs to process 3D graphics faster than CPUs.
