Hello, this is my initial contribution to this forum – please excuse any lack of familiarity.
Lately, I've been encountering intermittent voice problems during Discord conversations, where my audio quality fluctuates depending on the individual I’m speaking with. Similarly, their voice occasionally becomes disrupted as well.
The circumstances surrounding these disruptions are quite unusual. My voice only ceases to work on Discord when I'm airborne in Fortnite—including during the battle bus, while gliding, utilizing launch pads, and when using slipstreams. For competitive Fortnite players, the inability to communicate during these aerial maneuvers represents a significant disadvantage. I suspect this is linked to a network driver problem, as the issue worsens noticeably when I broadcast my gameplay; others report that their voices also cut out simultaneously. It’s perplexing why this only occurs while I'm in flight, and I haven't yet explored any potential fixes.
I haven’t encountered anyone else with this exact problem, nor have I found any discussions online about it. I haven’t yet attempted to resolve the situation. Could this be related to my network drivers? Should I consider updating them? Or is it perhaps a microphone-related concern?

It appears that when your character is in an open area, your system might need to load a significant portion of the game map at once. This could explain the occasional interruptions you’re experiencing in Discord during that time frame. Have you attempted to reduce the game's visual settings, and does this resolve the issue?

Thanks so much for your response – it was really useful. Indeed, I've been experiencing Discord lag and suspected Fortnite was consuming too many resources because it was set as a high priority instead of the default. I just reverted this setting to normal today, and I'm optimistic that it will return to its typical performance. Please let me know if there are any updates. Many thanks!
