Fixed Network Chatreey 2.5G on pfSense Firewall
The setup is working correctly on some interfaces while failing on others. The issue seems related to the network configuration not being recognized properly. Adjustments may be needed for how the system reads networks, especially when trying to save configurations to disk.
The disk formatting looks correct, yet it doesn’t show up online—only em0 em1 appears, and the rest remains missing.
The issue remains unclear; you need models labeled as igc0, igc1, igc2, igc3. Considering how inexpensive this device is, they might be using outdated faulty i225 chips, leading to problems. It’s best to search for units with i225 B3 or i226, which have resolved these issues.
When using PFSSENSE PLUS 22.05, the USB device signal changes to VGA "MEMSTICK" and it confirms installation by saving a disk right after startup. Immediately after, you notice communication issues—EM0 and EM1 appear—but the problem persists with the other pendrive, not the SATA HARD DISK. The correct action is to read the USB HARD DISK and save it.
