My CS:GO was functioning correctly until yesterday. I possess a secondary account which consistently displayed a black screen upon startup, followed by closure approximately four seconds later; however, my primary account launched without issue. After attempting various troubleshooting steps, I ultimately resolved the problem by removing and reinstalling Steam, but now this same issue occurs with my main account as well. Upon starting it up, I encounter a black screen with my mouse cursor still present (this was not previously the case), which then closes after approximately four seconds. I’ve explored numerous potential solutions without success. Could anyone offer assistance? Thank you.
Resolved the issue by identifying a problem within my configuration directory. Removing that folder and re-checking the game files successfully corrected the malfunction.
