I’ve recently improved my graphics card, moving from a 750GB 1GB to an RX 580 8GB Armor OC. I’ve tested it with Apex Legends and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive for now. I noticed a significant improvement in Apex Legends, but CSGO’s frame rate remained the same as before. I only observed enhanced textures. What's causing the CSGO FPS issue, and how can I boost it? I’ve seen other players achieving over 220 frames per second, while my performance is consistently between 120 and 200 with occasional dips to 90 or 100 frames. Any advice would be appreciated.

What’s the full pc spec? CS GO needs little gpu power and is very dependent on cpu single core performance and RAM speed/configuration.

Could you tell me your processor? Counter-Strike: Global Offensive requires a powerful CPU to run smoothly.

What is the memory speed? It’s outdated DDR3. A previous processor with limited single-core strength and sluggish memory will likely be a problem.

Certainly, the central processing unit is the limiting factor, which explains why you didn’t observe any performance gains despite upgrading your graphics card. This will occur with all CPU-intensive games. For games primarily reliant on the graphics processing unit, the bottleneck will be less pronounced. It’s advisable to update your CPU, motherboard, and RAM when feasible.
