Fix: Xbox One Controller Connection Issues with 3.1 Ports on Motherboards
I attempt to connect a standard Xbox One controller to my computer using the motherboard’s USB 3.1 port, and it briefly vibrates without any indicator light appearing or showing up in Device Manager. Yet, when connected through 2.0 ports, it illuminates and is detected by the device manager. I’ve attempted to update drivers from that location, but it indicates they are already current, both within the Xbox accessories app. Plugging it into the controller case’s front 3.0 ports resolves the issue entirely. I considered the possibility that these 3.1 ports on my motherboard are malfunctioning, but they function flawlessly with a flash drive, keyboard, and mouse. I utilized the same cable and controller on other computers successfully, and while I tested a different cable, it was inexpensive and old, so its reliability isn’t certain. Currently, I'm at a loss for solutions and have turned to you all for assistance. Thank you in advance for any guidance or suggestions you can offer!
