PC Specific Details: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X processor, 32 GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti graphics card, MB Asrock X570M Pro4, running Windows 10 64-bit.
Problem Overview:
- Repeated Crashes: System frequently shut down every few hours.
- Black Screen Incidents: Screen went black while gaming or using YouTube in a browser, with occasional BSODs.
- Unexpected Hard Reboots: After black screens, the PC restarted abruptly.
Time Period Affected: Issues occurred from April 21, 2025 to May 27, 2025.
Error Logs Noted:
- WHEA Logger Event ID 18: Cache hierarchy error, suggesting possible CPU or driver instability.
- Kernel-Power Event ID 41: Unexpected shutdowns without proper system logs, often linked to hardware faults or driver conflicts.
Resolution Attempts:
- Updates made: BIOS, GPU drivers, and a Windows 10 hotfix (KB5061768).
- Applied fixes: Installed Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) from Guru3D.
- Result: Successfully resolved the problem in my case after booting into Safe Mode and removing faulty display drivers.
