The issue involves resetting AMD’s WattMan settings so everything restarts to default after power cycles. Adjusting Fast Startup in Power Options and disabling Sleep/Logon will help. Each method affects performance differently: Fast Startup speeds up boot times, while disabling Sleep/Logon saves power but may reduce stability. Choose based on your priority between speed and efficiency.

What’s the optimal method to resolve the AMD WattMan issue where everything resets upon power cycling? On Fixes, there’s a suggestion to disable fast startup in Power Options and another option to turn off sleep and lock features for faster boot. Consider the various outcomes of each approach—what might happen if you try either one? Also, I’m not sure what AMD WattMan refers to.

Overclock adjustments will revert to their standard values if the system shuts down unexpectedly or undergoes a hard reset. For quick boot times, you may turn off fast startup without impacting overclock performance.

It's a feature in the driver for adjusting performance settings. It automatically restores to standard options after a crash, rough shutdown, or startup problems.

You can try restarting your device or checking for software updates to avoid a hard reset.

Have you explored this choice? The Reddit thread explains the situation, and turning off fast startup shouldn’t create any problems. It seems unnecessary now because of SSD technology.
