Fix: GTA 5 Won't Start at Release
Fix: GTA 5 Won't Start at Release
For more than a year, I’ve owned Grand Theft Auto 5 on my computer, and it has recently ceased functioning. I'm unsure of the cause. When I attempt to open the game, it loads but then gets stuck at a block displaying “unable to launch GTA 5, verify game files and data.” I performed this action, and Steam indicated that all files were legitimate; however, I continued to receive the same error message. Does anyone have any suggestions for resolving this issue?
You don’t need to repurchase it. Your entire game progression is stored on Rockstar’s servers. Navigate to your games list, select GTA by right-clicking, and choose “uninstall.” Afterwards, reinstall it through the deactivated option within the list.
Could you explain this? If I remove the game from Steam, would I need to repurchase it following the deletion of all my GTA data?
You don’t need to purchase it separately. Your entire advancement is stored on Rockstar’s systems.
Navigate to your game selection, select GTA by right-clicking, and choose “uninstall.” Afterward, reinstall it from the deactivated option within the list.
