I struggle to connect to a 4G signal in my space and I’m facing the base tower about 300 meters away—right outside the building, fully open with nothing blocking the view. I really wish more folks would switch to 5G so that 4G congestion could ease up again. I’m paying for 8G data, but it’s heavily throttled; at most I get around 4mbps download. If I switch to 3G manually, it jumps to about 12mbps, which is even worse than my current 8mbps home connection.
Certainly, implementing the base station upgrade would be beneficial for users. As long as I can stream YouTube smoothly.
I own a 5G device and have really felt the advantages in areas with strong coverage. It performs well, particularly when connected to my computer for internet. The signal stability is also significantly better compared to LTE, as long as I’m not near the transition zone between the two networks.
I observed a clear boost in 5G performance within busy networks. At first, I thought it was because there weren’t enough 5G devices available. But it’s possible @Unedited_Mind is correct—this could be a real back-end enhancement. Still, it’s helpful to use this in areas with heavy traffic.
I thought so… though I’m not entirely sure it’s activated—since I got the vaccine last year, but it doesn’t appear to provide a Wi-Fi hotspot or any similar feature.
