Installed new components into my existing setup and encountered a curious problem. When starting with the video cables linked to the GPU, I received five beep codes and the POST lights alternated between CPU, RAM, then halted at VGA. After a short delay, the monitor finally detected a signal and displayed Windows fully loaded (as I’m recording this). It’s worth mentioning that the POST lights remain stuck on VGA even after a full boot. When I swapped in HDMI and DP cables into the motherboard instead of connecting to the GPU, the beeps stopped once and the system booted normally (POST LEDs cycled through CPU > RAM > GPU > Boot). The same happened when the GPU was removed; it booted without issues. So far, I’ve reinserted the GPU, verified all connections are tight (CPU fan connector was slightly loose but still spinning), and updated the BIOS to the latest F8 version from Gigabyte’s site—still no change. Anyone have encountered this issue and any suggestions?

Would there be any cause to expect an error beep when running solely on the iGPU or through the onboard outputs instead of the dedicated GPU? The stock cooler made installation difficult, so I’ll try reseating it as a last option. I also rekindled my dislike for plastic push pins.

The card is sufficiently old to likely lack native UEFI support. The board was released after Windows 11, so CSM is turned off by default. It appears the device is attempting to boot, doesn't recognize a GPU due to differing standards, and no connection is made to an integrated graphics unit. It emits a POST beep, boots in headless mode, and functions in Windows. Try enabling CSM in the BIOS to see if that resolves the issue.

Activated CSM mode and configured other PCI devices as legacy. After the next reboot, only one successful POST beep appeared, and the UEFI splash screen displayed correctly. Performed a few shutdowns and everything booted as expected each time. Appreciate the update!
