Hi, I just completed my build and after several issues I’m still struggling to get any display. It worked the previous time I booted it and entered BIOS right away. I was halfway through installing Windows when it couldn’t detect storage and the fans weren’t spinning, though the RGB lights were functioning. I took a break and tried fixing it later. I attached some wires and did a few other things I forgot. Now the fans are working but not the RGB? And now I’m only seeing a black screen? It seems to power up via USB inconsistently—I’m really confused and don’t know much about PCs.

It's not uncommon to encounter items BOB (poor quality). Maybe try reinserting it and check if it appears?

Usually, a Windows setup doesn't begin unless it detects a target drive. When you mentioned no fans spinning, did you mean including the CPU cooler? If the connections were incorrect, several types of harm might occur. It's wise to inspect your equipment carefully, watch related videos, and follow the instructions thoroughly. Make sure all cables and wires are properly connected before proceeding. If the system still won't start, power it down to the simplest hardware setup that can boot and then gradually restore components.

The CPU cooler was functioning properly; I forgot to attach a SATA cable for the case fans, so they started spinning now and the graphics are working. During the second attempt, I didn't connect the HDMI cable to the graphics card—it was already on the motherboard, oops. Everything seems fine except for missing SSD storage when setting up Windows.

Are there other storage options besides the SSD or NVMe in the computer? Some motherboards may block access if two drives are placed in certain areas. Refer to the manual for details. Does the drive appear in the BIOS?

Yes, that's correct. The drive is listed under "storage," and you should notice the missing ports labeled "Not Present."

I looked in my board explorer and saw the m.2 drive is missing. I wonder if I installed it incorrectly? There are no other drives available right now.
