First PC setup guide
Hey there, hope you're doing well! I'm here to help with the definitions of XMP and setting the command rate. Since this is my first build and I'm still getting the hang of things, I don't have much experience yet. But I really appreciate your advice and any tips you can share. Thanks a lot!
XMP is a built-in profile stored in memory sticks, commonly used for Intel systems but also effective on AMD platforms. It contains all the memory configuration details such as timing and voltage settings. A short YouTube tutorial can clarify how it works. The command rate remains tied to memory timing, but adjusting it manually from 2T to 1T caused instability on my AMD setup, so I had to change it back to 2T in BIOS. It’s simply a setting in the BIOS with no major complexity.
Appreciated your response. Your patience means a lot, especially with the upcoming project.
