The initial equipment I acquired on Facebook marketplace includes an i7 2600k processor, a gigabyte GA-P67A-UD4-B3 ATX LGA1155 motherboard, and an MSI Radeon RX Vega 56 8G video card. I'm interested in determining the appropriate power supply for overclocking purposes, as the RAM specifications are still uncertain. My primary aim is to build a solid 1080p gaming system with sufficient VR capability for the latest titles, and I thought the CPU and motherboard combination was a solid choice for around $40.
Fortunately for the build (silicon lottery), the CPU is very overclockable, so a decent aftermarket cooler is recommended. An Intel OEM cooler wouldn't suffice. Two 8GB DDR3 modules at 1600MHz from any brand would work well. A good model and design around 550W should be sufficient, depending on what's available.
