You're facing an issue with the firmware update feature on your TP Link Archers VR1220v router. The update button is missing, which is unusual since it was available before. Since you haven't checked recently, you might want to verify the router's settings or restart it to see if that resolves the problem. If not, consider consulting the manufacturer's support resources or checking for any firmware updates directly from their website.

Check the menu for options such as Administration to locate the correct section.

Absolutely, I verified everything thoroughly. Checking the internet, the "firmware update" section was mentioned, which seems unusual.

I verified my router, which is an older Archer C1200 v2.0 model. I recommend restarting it first. Back up your current configurations and perform a factory reset if needed. If that doesn't resolve the issue, restore your previous settings manually.

I've already attempted that too, but it's still the same. I don't understand what's going on. The only thing I can do now is unplug it from the power source and observe the outcome.

Attempted a restart? A full system wipe is also an option.

Do you possess the Archer VR1210v, or did your Internet Service Provider provide it to you?

I tried both methods, but nothing worked. The firmware update feature was available a year ago, yet it’s still missing.

It's a gateway like a DSL modem or router. Since it's provided by your ISP, they probably have access to it. They might have released a firmware update to disable this feature or just turned it off. They definitely have the capability.
