No one has confirmed a release date for Firefox with 60fps stability. Updates are unpredictable, so keep checking official sources.

Isn't it already out? Even with 60fps playback, which seems unlikely.

Some users are already active; just turn on certain settings to make it work, though it remains in an early development stage.

It keeps failing on Chrome, so it's likely not approved for other browsers anytime soon.

I've also attempted to turn it on via the configuration files, but it's causing a lot of issues—some videos won't play at all.

Open about:config, look for "media.mediasource.enabled", set it to true. As NightMiu mentioned, the settings can be quite confusing, particularly when dealing with high-resolution files.

I see you're experiencing 26 frames per second at 4K on Firefox, and 31 fps in 1080p using Flash. That's quite impressive!
