You might want to think about increasing your RAM to around 8GB.

I believe the count of "parents" is quite typical.
Currently, I display 15 in Firefox with one tab active; it uses around 1 GB of memory.
In Chrome with one tab open: approximately 260 MB of RAM consumed; 10 parents.
Is this delay a recent issue...or has it always been this way?
You shouldn't expect much performance from 2 GB of RAM. I have 8 on Windows 10 and function adequately.
However, I've observed Firefox tends to open random sites more slowly than Chrome. Not much can be done about it.

It's tough to increase RAM further, I've tried adding 2-3 times with similar specs, but only by accident did I find a compatible pair (2 x 4GB).
I'm just wondering how things would change if I used a memory management tool.
Thanks anyway.
