If your Chrome issues involve Google problems, switching to Chromium might help.

I don't believe you understand what a memory leak is. Consuming a lot of memory—especially when it's not actually happening, like in Firefox 3—is not considered a memory leak. A memory leak occurs when nothing changes, even with minimal activity, and the system's available memory keeps decreasing unexpectedly. This continues until it hits the operating system's maximum limit, which varies by architecture and application type.

I expressed my dislike for Chrome due to its confusing interface and overall performance issues. Many users have reported similar problems, and I found the application to run slowly. The crashes I experienced weren't typical BSODs but rather a reset of my system, possibly linked to AMD drivers or crossfire. I tested it extensively with stable Prime95 and other software without noticeable problems. I’m not a heavy tab user, so opening multiple tabs doesn’t strain my system. However, I’ve noticed another concern with Firefox: it crashes when opening more than ten tabs simultaneously, slowing it down significantly. Despite having a 3930k processor and 32GB RAM, I’m worried about performance issues. I haven’t explored Chromium yet, only heard of it, so I’m curious about what it is. If resetting Firefox doesn’t help, I’ll try Waterfox. I’ll also need to remember to use different browsers like IE, Chrome, or Opera for certain tasks.

Chromium is essentially Chrome without Google features, and it's open source. Google adopts Chromium for Chrome and adds enhancements that can improve or diminish performance based on your perspective. If you dislike Chrome, Chromium likely won't be significantly better. A problematic plugin in an extension might be the issue. Try restarting in safe mode (≡ → ? → "Restart with Add-ons Disabled...") to check if the problem continues. I don't experience memory leaks in Firefox version 32a2.

Lunascape offers a versatile package in one. It supports Gecko, Trident and Webkit. Maxthon also performs well.

It seems you're trying to understand how a single browser can support multiple web views. The process involves using different extensions or add-ons to customize your experience. After clearing your old data and installing alternatives like Waterfox, you can restore bookmarks and history using the right files. Just make sure to save the necessary configuration or data files to regain those settings.

It functions by using Webkit, Gecko, and Trident rendering engines along with "barrows" from Internet Explorer. You can change the renderer between them. When using Trident it behaves like Internet Explorer, Webkit like Safari/Chrome, and Gecko like Firefox. Because it can replicate Firefox, Firefox extensions can be added. If you previously backed up your data before uninstalling Firefox, the process would have been simpler; now you’ll need to search through files manually. If you still have your old profile, you can restore everything yourself. However, if you claim to have removed the files in AppData, there’s nothing left to do. You’ve deleted your profile.
