I've just installed the Firefox containers add-on. I am trying to assign containers for 2 different url's where in this example, the url begins with
https://www.youtube
ie. the same domain.
The container setting only seems to remember the container for say, Security container, and automatically assigns the other url as Security, ie. the same container (and i do not want that). I therefore cannot change the container for one url without it affecting the other; and as stated I would like different containers for the different pages on the same domain, ie. one Youtube video page set in one container, and the other YouTube video page set in the other container. They have different permalinks/hyperlinks so I thought they might be able to be put in different containers?
I do not want to create another separate profile in order to achieve this - I wish to keep it in the same profile.
Any idea what setting I need to change? Thanks.

Have you checked the documentation here?
The containers add-on seems to be doing things differently than expected.

Thanks for the response. It seems my top choice would be to use the right-click option and switch videos into various containers across multiple tabs, especially when running several pages from the same domain simultaneously. A fully automated method would be preferable.

The only option is to use a single browser. You might also consider setting up multiple browsers.
