Findings with artifacts and black squares on RTX 3080
I've observed my PC behaving erratically upon powering up the monitors. With three displays, I expect them to cycle individually, but now they're flashing rapidly—six to seven times—before freezing and then restarting. Eventually, small black squares appear briefly on the right screen, followed by severe stuttering and artifacts during gameplay. The issues have intensified over the past five to six days, after which everything previously smooth was disrupted.
It appears the VRAM is not functioning properly or overheating. Turning on the GPU fans increases performance but may lead to higher temperatures.
We should focus on VRAM temperatures instead of idle times. Idle and load performance are ideal.
VRAM temperature stayed near 70°C, reaching a peak of 96°C during gaming. I’ve been streaming Plex to my TV and playing games nonstop for the whole day without noticing any issues. Still not sure what’s going on.
