Hey, I’m looking for a reliable new board around $200-250. Something with a 4th generation chip might be a good fit. I was thinking about moving up to the 30 series later if I can afford it. My current setup is an AMD Ryzen 7 2700X, 4.3GHz, Gigabyte RTX 2060, and a HyperX Predator with those specs. I also have a 1TB Aorus B450 PRO XPG RGB system with be quiet power settings at 600W.

For a board supporting 2700X and planning to use Gen4 with Zen 2 or 3 later, the only available chipset is X570. A suitable board can be found at the provided link.

I encountered memory problems during multiple compilations with that version.

You're considering a straightforward B450 Rog Strix build. You're aware it won't have the latest generation, but you believe your RTX 2060 can handle it.

The B450 Tomahawk performs well, yet I prefer the X570 Tomahawk.

It's worth considering that model. The x570 tomahawk tends to be on the pricier side.

It seems the data was originally around 220-240, but due to recent stock issues, it's now closer to 260-280, with some reports hitting 290.
