Hello, I've just reinstalled Windows 11 on my PC. I typically share drives between my wife and I to easily transfer files (through the network section of file explorer). Normally under "network", there will be a few categories, "Computers", "Media Devices", "Other devices" etc. Somehow, I seem to be missing the "computer" section entirely. I'm confident in the sharing settings... I've done this many times over the years. And even if sharing wasn't working for some reason, I can usually see my own PC there at least. It feels almost as if I've accidentally hidden that section, or something, but I'm not sure. Any thoughts? This is a pic of my Wife's PC, showing the "computer" section she can see, but I cannot. My Network section starts at "Media Devices" with no Computer section at all. I bet it's something simple, but I can't seem to find it. Thanks in advance.

The network is configured as public. If it were set to private, the changes would be reversed.

Have you attempted to map the network drive? The network exploration isn't performing well.

Thanks, yes it remains private. I've attempted to switch modes and restart as well. It clearly refuses to connect to anything—manually entering a path and browsing shows nothing. Curiously, when I briefly turned off the defender firewall (temporarily), the Computer section appeared briefly on the screen, showing my own PC, but it vanished instantly, and I haven't managed to recreate that situation. Something odd is happening. I've turned on discoverability and sharing everywhere possible, yet still facing this issue. It's strange.
