Budget range is approximately 20 to 30 million IDR (Indonesia).
Openness to refurbished or used units: No, seeking new only.
Prioritization for the device design: Performance comes first, followed by build quality and cooling. Battery life is secondary because usage occurs mostly when connected.
Considerations on form factor: Ultrabook, 2-in-1, etc. are acceptable depending on needs.
Build quality and thermal management are important.
Screen size preference: 15.6" or 16" ideal.
Software requirements: CAD, video editing, photo editing, gaming (Photoshop, Illustrator with AI, Premiere, coding), and AAA titles like RDR2 and Cyberpunk.
Gaming preferences: High FPS settings (60+ FPS) are desired.
Keyboard and input needs: Good keyboard, reliable build, touchscreen optional, fingerprint reader helpful, optical drive or good mouse recommended.
Preferred features: MUX switch, strong thermal design, expandable RAM/SSD, RGB keyboard optional.
Additional thoughts: Any other suggestions or notes that could help the discussion?

Do you require portability?
Gaming laptops present a challenging design. The cooling systems must be lightweight and compact, which limits their ability to be easily transported.
When operating at maximum capacity, they tend to reduce performance.
If you need one, choose a model with an effective cooling solution.
Laptops are not designed for long-term durability.
They seldom support upgrades to the CPU or GPU and are becoming less capable of expanding RAM.

Thanks for the feedback! I understand laptops have limited upgrade options and thermal management. I'm focusing on mobility, so I expect it won't be as future-proof as a desktop. That's why I'm emphasizing strong cooling and models with MUX switches.

I intend to stay connected most of the time for better performance and heat handling. Thanks for the reminder!
