I've never dealt with this situation before and I'm really confused. The problem involves two key monitoring apps that get automatically closed by the OS (Windows 10) when my system switches to battery power. It doesn<|pad|> to know, the OS isn't shutting down everything that needs a lot of processing or power because games and stress tests keep running. Only these two apps run quietly in the background without consuming much resources, and no other background applications close. I'm wondering if anyone knows a way to prioritize these apps so they don't get closed automatically. [Solved] After trying for a few days, posting on many platforms and even reaching out to Micro$oft support (laughs, I hope they respond next year), I noticed a grayed-out box in Task Scheduler: "Stop if system switches to battery power." It's unchecked and grayed out because it's linked to a master option above "Only start task if the system is on AC power." Since it's grayed out and unchecked, changing them again after saving might help. That probably fixed the issue because it's Windows 10 that's causing it.
