I'm looking for a way to get "the latest drivers" for my Intel Celeron 1005M processor. I want to know if updating them will improve overall performance, but I know the latest drivers are only available from 2009. Any advice or help would be appreciated.

This processor runs smoothly on Windows or Linux without additional drivers. Keep in mind its specifications include 2 cores, 2 threads, and a 2 MB cache at 1.9 GHz. Performance may be limited, so reducing the operating system can help improve speed.

I meant reducing the operating system to improve performance.
Regarding your question, cutting down the OS means removing unnecessary programs or services so the system runs lighter and faster.

Eliminate unused programs, reset caches and temporary files, enhance drive performance. Consider switching to a minimal Linux setup like Lubuntu or Arch Linux variants (ArchBang, Manjaro, etc.). It seems web browsing is becoming noticeably demanding on CPU resources, causing noticeable slowdowns. Reflect on the purpose of technology?

I’ll make the most of that time, though for browsing it’s pretty acceptable, I suppose. My main focus is on games, but I’m aware it might not be the case, so thank you for your time—I’ll remember your advice.
