Find the Windows 10 activation code switch to unlock your device.
Hi everyone, just a random question. I recently found out my pc had an OEM activation key meaning I can’t transfer it to a new pc. However, the key is tied to my Microsoft account. So I’m just wondering whether windows will reactivate itself on a new pc, if I just log onto my Microsoft Windows account on the new pc. On the other hand, windows may not deactivate itself meaning I have to buy a new key but since the OEM key is already tied to my account, does putting in a new activation key cause any problems when doing a fresh install of windows? Thanks
I'm curious about the fate of the original OEM key after moving my account to another PC. I'm worried it might not stay with the account or could be removed from the motherboard, possibly causing system issues.
You likely won<|pad|> a few more times. OEM keys can't be shared like that, which is their biggest issue.
